SOZIONIK:
Modelling Types of Organisation in DAI and Sociology:

Robustness and Learning at the Meso-layer of Sociality

_

The general idea of all Socionics projects of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft is to transfer theories and concepts from sociology to DAI and vice versa in the same manner as the transfer that happened from psychology to AI in the past. In the joint project between the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg and DFKI Saarbruecken the focus is on research on robustness of multi-agent systems. This focus is inspired by the research in Sociology (in this case the recent habitus-field theory of Pierre Bourdieu) on social order, i.e. the reproduction of structure in a society of actors despite the dynamics of interaction. The main concepts used in our approach are task delegation and social delegation, modes of delegation and types of organisation.

  • Basic research on (self-)organisation of MAS.
  • Modelling of types of organisation.
  • Application scenario and area of empricial research: transportation domain.
